We stopped here on a drive from Zürich to Baden-Baden. The hostel is in a quiet suburb near Lake Titisee, though you need a car to reach it. We had a little trouble with the automated check-in, but customer service was very helpful. The place was clean and well equipped, and the peaceful natural surroundings were lovely.

The area around the property is beautiful, with Aldi and other big retail chains close by. We spent three days there over Christmas break. Check-in is automated, and we had no human interaction during our stay, but everything still went smoothly. The place was very clean and well maintained, and I liked the automation.

The room was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was great. I also liked the natural surroundings, and local transport to titisee was convenient. The Internet was the one downside. I'd definitely visit again.

I can't recommend this place. Our room was dirty, the bed smelled bad, and there were insects. It seemed like it hadn't been cleaned after previous guests, even though the sheets, room, and toilet should normally be changed or cleaned. The owners gave me a bad feeling. They seemed angry underneath and only pretended to be nice, then lied to us. The food was okay, but the service was bad and the vacation was awful. We planned to stay two weeks after a long journey, but left after just one day. We felt we'd wasted our time and money, and the whole stay felt like a scam.

There's plenty of space, a great location, and all the equipment we needed. The shower had a few things that needed fixing. Apply early for the activities card.
