The food was rich and delicious, and really hit the spot. We had an incredible dinner at Stadthotel Waldhorn Restaurant in a cosy, pleasant setting. The chef was friendly, and the whole team was great. Five stars for the food and hospitality.

We got a very warm welcome after arriving around 6 am because our car had broken down. That kindness made a big difference. The hotel is cosy and comfortable, the staff are cordial and very friendly, and it’s easy to reach from the A8 on the way to the Alps. Thanks!

On 23 August, my wife and I had a lovely evening at the restaurant of Stadthotel Waldhorn. The location at Marktplatz is beautiful, with restored and well-kept timber-framed houses all around. We had an appetizer, main course, and cake, with a nice rosé wine. The waiter and waitresses were very friendly. A thoroughly pleasant meal, and highly recommended.

We enjoyed dinner so much that we came back the next day with friends. Holz & Feuer has delicious, reasonably priced local food, plus creative takes on old favorites. My family loved everything we ordered, especially the avocado and potato pizza, which you should try. Robert, the owner, clearly puts care into choosing ingredients, and there’s a first-rate wine cellar. The restaurant is beautifully furnished, and in summer the outdoor seating is lovely, right in the center of Kirchheim. The staff were gracious and efficient.

The room didn’t have a minibar or a safe, which was a little inconvenient. Still, we liked the place. It was clean, and the breakfast and coffee each morning were good. We’re thinking of adding it to Guidol, our travel app for millennials.
