Seepark Kirchheim Ferienhaus bei Vera

The lake was promoted as a place to swim, but what we found was just a small, dirty cove. It also seems a religious sect has taken over the lake, and there aren't any activities on offer anymore. This was easily our worst holiday. The place felt nothing like a holiday park. The houses are over 40 years old, and the furnishings seem just as old. Everything creaks, the beds and sofa are completely worn out, and the grill was filthy.

Around the lake especially, things could be made much more attractive with very little effort. Quite a lot of the park is poorly maintained. Still, it's a nice place for a short break if you want to hike and relax.

This isn't somewhere I'd come for wellness or a restful stay. The houses are extremely noisy and completely run down. The heating doesn't work, there's no lighting, the mattresses are worn out, and the property managers are unfriendly. Definitely check the reviews before you go.

We won't book here again. Seepark is getting old, with potholes in the paths and a completely overgrown mini-golf course, among other things. There isn't a restaurant or any shops either. House quality seems to depend a lot on the landlord: some take care of things, while others seem interested only in collecting the money.
