The rooms look like they’d be lovely too, though I can’t say for sure. I can definitely recommend the restaurant: the food is delicious, the interior feels stylish, and the owner and his wife take care of guests promptly and well. Prices are very reasonable, around 25 euros per person for the food, service, and atmosphere. I’d order the steak.

Kirchzarten is a charming little town, and getting to Freiburg was quick and easy. I loved the room decor, traditional Black Forest details with a cool urban feel. The owner made us feel at home, and the staff were all very friendly. The restaurant served some of the best German food I had on my travels. I loved this hotel and will definitely come back.

The location is pretty, right in Kirchzarten, with a bar and a small slots casino nearby. It’s about a five-minute walk to the bus station for Freiburg, and Titisee lake and Todnau waterfalls are not far away. As a solo backpacker, I was amazed by how much I got for the money. Nice staff and good food, though I’m not sure this deserves a three-star rating.

The room was comfortable, and the staff were so friendly. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner, and there’s free parking behind the hotel if you get a parking token from them. A lovely place to stay.

The service was really friendly, and the food was amazing. I had the low-temperature-cooked beef for dinner with my husband, who ordered the salmon.
