The fresh berries at breakfast were a nice touch. The room felt too small for what it cost, there wasn't a proper reception, and the sound insulation was poor enough that we could hear guests walking upstairs. The staff came across as mostly passive-aggressive and unkind.

Being just three minutes from the city centre made this a great base for a day trip. The woman who greeted us was really welcoming and explained what there was to know about the city. And the room I got was amazing, I haven't seen quality like that at such a price before.

The breakfast was the best we've had, with lots of different choices and really delicious meat. We had a lovely stay a week ago, and the kindest lady of the house made sure we had everything we needed.

The quiet setting was a plus, and having a balcony was nice. For a double room, though, the price felt a little high. The bathroom was tiny and the shower didn't work properly. The bed was comfortable if you're used to a split mattress, but we had trouble getting the TV to work.

The bathroom and bedding were spotless, and breakfast was decent, though not great. The instant coffee and long-life milk were unpleasant. I slept badly because the mattress was much too hard and the pillow far too soft. The room itself was very basic, with old, dated furniture, and the outside looked shabby. Worst of all, the stairs to the top floor have such a dangerous slope that they could cause a serious accident. I won't be going back to this “hotel”.
