The people running this bed & breakfast are warm and welcoming. Breakfast was included, though for your main meals you need to drive a short distance to the next village. Our bedroom was small but comfortable, with no en suite facilities. The separate toilets and shower rooms were very clean and functional.

The garden is beautiful, and the small pond is nice for swimming, especially after using the wood-fired Sauna. The place also welcomes plenty of people cycling along the Rhine, which is only 200 m away. You can get a sense of how the community lives and be part of it during your stay. Guests are warmly welcomed and introduced to the current projects. Most of the food comes from their own garden, with fresh fruit and lots of vegetables.

The bedrooms could use a bit of artistic inspiration, though they’re quite adequate. The Vlierhof is an original, authentic place run by volunteers who do their best. The seminar house has a comfortable, roomy lounge and dining area, with a lovely next-door room with laminate flooring for workshops and meditation sessions.
