We booked nearly six months ahead, but they canceled our reservation just two weeks before the date. We won't book there again. Booking early doesn't seem to mean you can count on having a bed when you need one. It's outrageous.

The staff were genuinely friendly and knew a lot, but the rest was a letdown. Our room and bathroom were far from clean, and changing the towels was the only room service: no bed-making or vacuuming, and the bathroom was a mess. The toilet brush was a dark green nightmare. Breakfast was okay today, though yesterday there was very little and nothing got refilled. The building looks lovely outside, but inside was awful. I don't see how three stars justify a price of €85, and we definitely wouldn't recommend it.

The owner was very unfriendly to us. From our conversation, it seemed clear he was trying to profit from the plight of the refugees housed there in appalling conditions. It was a terrible encounter.

We had booked three rooms for seven people more than six months in advance. Then, two weeks before arrival, the hotel canceled, giving what I felt was a very flimsy excuse. They only arranged replacement rooms after I specifically asked. That's no way to treat guests or keep them, and I strongly advise against booking here.

A beautiful sight to take in from the riverbank. Pigeons, ducks, geese and other birds are being fed there.
