Hotel Zur Post Ochsendorf

The location just off the A2 autobahn made the place easy to find and convenient for a stopover. Our room was clean, with fresh towels and duvets, and our little dog was made very welcome. At reception, the lady greeted us warmly, spoke perfect English, and made us feel at home right away. The owner is also the chef, and he came around to every table at dinner to check that all was well. The schnitzels and soup were delicious. He was just as kind, polite, and attentive at breakfast the next morning and when we checked out. We had a wonderful stay at this bed and breakfast, with comfortable accommodation, great service, and excellent food. We’d highly recommend it.

The restaurant food is good, and the bed and shower were clean. The staff are very friendly. It’s near the highway, but far enough away that we had a quiet night. If you’re wondering where to stay, this place is a good choice. See you next time.

Zur Post Ochsendorf was an easy stop just off the A2 when we were driving from Latvia to the UK. We parked right outside and got an extremely warm welcome from the proprietors. It looks like a traditional German inn from outside, but inside there’s a lovely Australian twist. The apartment was spotless, with loads of space for our two cats to run around. We could relax, catch up on much-needed washing, and freshen up. The beds were comfortable, and we slept really well. Dinner was fabulous, delicious home-cooked German and Australian food, and breakfast was just as good, with a German buffet and good coffee. The staff were so nice and helpful. Everything was so tidy and sparkling clean. We had a really excellent stay and would recommend it to anyone needing a stopover.

A quiet place, close to the highway and very near McDonalds. It worked well for one night.
