Jordan's Untermühle

The resort is quiet and spacious, with a nice spa, good beds, and friendly staff. The food is good, though nothing special. Rooms are pretty average and have no air conditioning, and housekeeping comes every second day. It’s a nice location with good amenities, but the prices are 20-30% too high across the board, including rooms, food, and drinks.

The spa has several different areas to rest in, and the staff were really friendly. I also liked the room and enjoyed the food, with breakfast served until 11, small snacks from 14h to 16h, and a delicious three-course dinner. It’s a very calm, quiet spot surrounded by nature, though a road a little farther away can be heard depending on the wind. There’s a small village with wineries nearby, and you can walk or go for a bike ride during the day. It was just right for a few relaxing days. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back.

We only had one night at Jordan's Untermühle, but could easily imagine staying longer. The grounds, atmosphere, service, and food were excellent. We visited during the week, when it was cheaper and less crowded, though I do wonder how packed the spa gets on weekends. The room is why I’d give the stay 4/5 stars. In our Traumblick room, a sliding door separated the bedroom and bathroom, but it didn’t line up with the wall and left an opening of over 1 inch. I prefer a door that closes all the way.

The service was very friendly, and the food was good. Breakfast was okay, though there was less variety than at a typical business hotel like NH. I liked the spa and especially the heated outdoor pool, but finding a lounge is hard when the hotel is full. You may end up sitting at a table instead. Day guests sometimes flood the spa too, which isn’t good. We were in the old part, in room no. 4, and it was extremely small, with no minibar, no air conditioning, and no proper blinds. At around 380€ for half board for 2 pers., that’s far too expensive, especially next to “BollAnts” SPA hotel, 30 km away. Value for money isn’t good. The hotel is nice and small, but only good if it isn’t fully booked. If you book a treatment like a massage in advance, you can’t cancel at short notice, even 4 h beforehand if you need to. The only option is to sell it to someone else or probably pay a cancellation fee. All in all, the right price would be around 200€ per day for 2 pers. with half board.
