Being able to walk to nearly everything from the hotel made it especially good value for us. We chose Hotel 47 on the spur of the moment for a night in Konstanz after seeing good reviews and getting a useful suggestion from Google Gemini, and we were really pleased with the stay. The room was spotless, with very comfortable sheets and a great bed. We liked having separate bedding, though we’d personally prefer one larger blanket for two. The bar was nicely decorated and had a pleasant feel, with perfect service. There’s also a modern underground car park with plenty of room for large vehicles and direct elevator access to the hotel. You need a key to reach the guest floors, which felt reassuring.

I spent a week at HOTEL 47° for a business trip, and it turned out to be a wonderful stay. The restaurant is well worth a visit, with delicious food, attentive service, and quality taking priority over portion size. I also really liked the decor and atmosphere. The design throughout the hotel feels just right, creating a cozy but luxurious space with lots of attention to detail. Everyone on staff was friendly, cheerful, and happy to help. Sunday breakfast was the one uncomfortable part of our stay. It was so busy that we had to sit at a long table with other guests, close enough to hear one another’s conversations. Different breakfast time slots could help ease the crowd. The hotel itself is in a great spot: we walked into town and even crossed into Switzerland to visit the protected lakeside area. The lobby felt warm and welcoming, with plenty of comfortable seats, and the front desk team were professional, friendly, and efficient. We paid extra for the river-view king suite because we wanted a coffee machine in the room. It was bright and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable.

The rooms had plenty of space, though their layouts felt awkward and they lacked a bit of charm. Some fun pictures or decorations might help. I also found the parking options a little strange and wasn’t sure about the location. We did enjoy our time in the sauna area, which was very nicely designed, with a spa area and three saunas to choose from. All in all, it was a nice stay, just not quite what I was looking for by the lake.
