Hotel Villa Barleben am See

I loved the garden by the lake. The view was amazing all day. The room was moderately priced, somewhere in the middle rather than especially cheap or expensive. Antje was very friendly when she welcomed us, showed us around, and offered a welcome drink. All the decorations make it feel like living in the 1400s, giving the hotel a unique experience.

The staff were professional and very kind, and the bed was clean and comfortable. The location was good, and the balcony was lovely. I don't usually stay anywhere other than Hilton/Bonvoy, but this felt like a special and interesting hotel, and you can tell they put a lot of thought into everything. I visited in February when there weren't many guests, so breakfast wasn't available. They did give us plenty of complimentary drinks and food, though. It may not be a five-star hotel, but it was very cozy. I'd definitely recommend it and come back.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Barleben am See. The staff were friendly and helpful. I'd absolutely recommend the place, and we'll definitely return.

The food was decent, but the service was terrible. We waited nearly half an hour before anyone came over with menus, then another ten minutes for the menus to arrive. In the end, I gave up and went to the kitchen to order and pay for everything.
