Hampton by Hilton Konstanz

We used this hotel as both the start and endpoint of our May 2026 cycling trip around Lake Konstanz. The bright, clean rooms and secure bike storage worked well for us, and the staff were welcoming. Breakfast was DElicious, with a wide variety of food. There was a nice patio and seating area for a drink, and even the front garden was lovely. It's a short bus ride from the train station. There aren't many places to eat nearby, but Bleiche is an option. It's a five-minute walk down Turm Strasse, opposite the hotel, by the Rhine. The food is good and the outdoor terrace is pleasant on a warm day. The hotel itself sits out of town in an industrial area, though it's easy to reach. It's modern, clean, and spacious, with breakfast included as well as free local transport tickets. The friendly staff were helpful, and the city çentre is about 15 minutes away by public transport, with plenty of dining options; Mainau takes about 30 minutes. Since transport is free, that works well. The parking garage next door cost €32 for two nights.

Breakfast was a real plus, with plenty of choices and pancakes, and it ran until 11 am. Even near closing, staff kept topping things up. The noon checkout also gave us time to get organized without rushing. The hotel is a little outside the center, but there’s a bus stop at the entrance and they provide public transport tickets. Staff were warm and welcoming, and our cozy room had a small fridge and a kettle for coffee or tea. The lobby was spacious and comfortable. We had a very positive stay and will definitely be back.

The breakfast had lots to choose from, though I’d have preferred fresh fruit salad to the canned kind. We also found parking nearby at a reasonable price. The room was bright, cute, clean, and had no unpleasant smell. The bed was a little firm but comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful from arrival through breakfast and departure. The receptionist was especially kind and gave us a room overlooking the hotel’s terrace. It’s pet friendly, which made traveling with our furry companion much easier. Good price, location, clean rooms, reliable service. I’d stay again and recommend it to friends. If you’re in Konstanz and weighing price and location, this is a great pick.
