Lisa and Salome were a big help throughout our stay, and the food and service at this property were remarkably good. The beds were the one thing that really needs fixing. The mattress seemed to be a mix of sofa-bed pillows and a thin covered mat, and by the end of the stay it was giving us back pain. With better beds, this would be a great place to spend a good week in Konstanz.

The lake view from our room was incredible, especially from the balcony with its lounge chairs. The room was big and very clean, and we really enjoyed the breakfast and the beer garden restaurant. We arrived a little early and they were fine with that. We had such a good day here last week that we booked two more days, and the check-in service today was superb. Thanks, we’ll be back for sure.

The breakfast was good, and the hotel was reasonably priced and handy for visiting a friend nearby. You can park there for €10 a day, or try your luck without reserving. Just be ready for the heat: there’s no air conditioning, and sleeping in early August was very hot even with the windows open.

Parking can be a challenge, and we had an issue during check-in that shouldn’t have happened, though it was sorted out. The rooms with balconies are in the new building, and ours was great: comfortable beds, a lovely shower and bathroom, and a nicely furnished balcony. I’d stay again and choose a balcony room.
