Hotel Brauereigasthof Amberger

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the whole place felt clean and spacious. We held a family event here, with lots of relatives staying at the hotel. The tables looked lovely, and both the food and service were great. The building has a traditional Bavarian feel, while the rooms are modern and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast had regular semmeln and seed covered fitness buns, cold cuts, a good cheese selection, scrambled eggs, yogurt with toppings, cereal, jam, honey, and Nutella. We’ve also had dinner here several times and found it exceptionally delicious. My favorite was the breaded Schnitzel with Cheese Spätze and creamy mushroom gravy. The soups are amazing too. I only managed to get a photo of our dessert without family members in it. We’ll definitely be back.

The staff were very unfriendly. They canceled our rooms without telling us, so we think they may have given them to other guests paying more for the night. They said the water pipes had broken and the bathrooms couldn't be used, but they wouldn’t show us the rooms. At 9 pm, we had to start looking for another hotel.

I’m fond of traditional hotels like this one in a small town. It was very clean and comfortable, the staff were nice, and the Bavarian food was delicious. The one thing that cost it a star was the invoice system. It couldn’t produce the business invoice we needed.

The service was very poor, even though the price was relatively low, especially compared with the more expensive neighborhood. I stayed in winter and the room was freezing. It only warmed up a bit after two days. The cleaner kept turning off the radiators, while the room cleaning itself was poor. Breakfast was relatively cheap, but there was too little and too little variety to leave me full. At weekends there was no tea, just coffee in a thermos. It was warm, but not hot. The rooms are new, the bed was comfortable, and the internet worked well, which is rare in German hotels.
