The stay itself had a lot going for it: the place was clean and comfortable for two, with a washing machine, dishwasher, and a terrace with a grill. The pier and lovely beach were five minutes away on foot, and shops and a strawberry farm were walkable too. But we won't be back. Communication between us, the landlord, and the agency was abysmal. Two workmen showed up at 9 a.m. the day before we left, with no warning, wanting to inspect the refrigerator. Then the landlord came by the next day and was rude, almost telling us to leave because he'd forgotten he had extended our stay by one day. He didn't greet us or introduce himself, and spoke brusquely even though we were his guests. I have to take two stars off for that.

Dogs are welcome, and we enjoyed our holiday on Usedom. The semi-detached house was cozy and clean, in a quiet spot despite being right by the main road. Getting the keys at the property management office was easy. The pier, beach, restaurants, bakery, and coastal forest were all just a few minutes away on foot.

The beach is about a five-minute walk away, and the house works well for a family with children. It has a children's room, a bedroom, two toilets, a washing machine, a terrace with a grill, and a lawn out front. It's a bit toward the edge of the main road. Some things need renovation: the dishes and pillows don't match, the shower leaks, and there are a few other minor issues. If those things don't bother you, it's a good vacation spot and has what an average vacationer needs. The village itself is quiet, and the restaurants could use improvement.

The big lawn behind the holiday homes gives all the children somewhere to gather, and there's a terrace with a barbecue too. Weather permitting, it's a great place to stay. The homes are especially appealing because they're so close to the beach and pier. Prices around here will probably settle over the next few years anyway, with the strawberry farm, the new pier, and so on.
