Ferienwohnung Sobrigau

The apartment was nicely furnished and had room for four, but we were made to leave on Friday at 8 p.m. and had to find somewhere else to stay. We were put out on the street with our severely disabled, mobility-impaired daughter. There had been a disagreement that the landlord wouldn’t accept, despite what the online description said and our suggestions for resolving it. In my 45 years, I’ve never seen behavior like this, thankfully. We already had the keys, and the landlord is now demanding the full amount. The search engine we used to find the rental tried to resolve things, but it didn’t work. Because of a mistake, we now have to pay three times the original amount. So sad.

We rented the apartment and suite separately for a week, which worked perfectly for us as a young couple traveling with our parents. Our parents already stay here regularly, and we could see why: the place has a comfortable, cozy feel. The owners are very welcoming, and the apartments are well equipped with modernly renovated bathrooms. There are outdoor seating areas for meals in good weather, parking on the property, and safe, dry storage for e-bikes. Shops are easy to reach, and Dresden is nearby. It was a relaxing holiday, and we’d love to return.

The hosts made us feel so welcome, and the place was exceptionally clean. My girlfriend and I stayed for a long weekend in early October, using it as a base to explore Saxon Switzerland. We had everything we needed. If we’re in the area again, we’ll happily stay here.

We spent a wonderful week in Sobrigau over Christmas and would gladly return. The village was peaceful, so we could get away from everyday stress with walks through the woods and open fields. The apartment was quiet, clean, and furnished in a modern style. Dresden’s historic old town was only a 20-minute drive away, and we visited its famous sights and several Christmas markets in and around the city.
