Gasthof Hotel Kopf

If you eat at the restaurant, expect generous portions of tasty food. The breakfast was great too, and our room was clean and bright. A great hotel in a small German town.

We didn't try the bar or restaurant, but the breakfast was fantastic and free. Staff spoke English, which helped since I failed my German GCSE! Parking was easy on the street, and there was also space in the small courtyard with an electric car charger that I assume guests can use. We stayed four nights; the spotless, very large room and the hotel's easy reach to the Black Forest and Europa Park made it an absolutely fantastic stay.

I only came for dinner, so I can't say what the hotel rooms are like. The restaurant was good, and the service was good too. They explained the local beers and suggested I try Roman beer. I really enjoyed it, and the service left me satisfied.

We all chose different dishes, and everything was very tasty and beautifully presented. The recommended local red wine was excellent too, and the prices were quite reasonable. I was staying at the hotel for three nights and invited four friends from Malterdingen to dinner on Saturday the 14th of September, taking a chance since I knew nothing about the restaurant. The service went beyond what I expected. Micheal, the charming young woman who served us, did a fantastic job, and the owners should be proud to have her on the team. She is an asset to the restaurant, and it was a nice bonus that she spoke fluent English. Thanks for the lovely meal and hospitality. We will definitely return for a meal very soon.
