Riegeler Hof

Visiting from London, I was blown away by the dinner. The taste, combinations, and presentation were Michelin-star level. I'd absolutely recommend it if you're after an amazing meal!

I didn't stay at the hotel, so I can only speak about the service. The staff were professional and well trained. The food was good value, upscale German cooking with some French touches and plenty of local ingredients.

We stayed here once on the way to Switzerland and again for a night on the way back home. The mattresses were okay, though I would have liked fuller pillows. That's a personal preference, of course. Dinner and breakfast were both good. If we need a hotel on a future trip to southeastern Europe, we'll definitely book this one again.

The room was a good size, clean, and comfortable, though a little outdated. Riegeler hof looks beautiful, with romantic, old-style German interiors. Breakfast was amazing, and the restaurant serves simple but good meals. You can also eat outside on the terrace. Staff were really welcoming and did their best to make our stay comfortable. Reception speaks German and English. When the hotel's parking lot was full, staff helped us find a good spot in town. The only downside was the heat: during the current heat wave the room was very hot, and there was no air conditioning or ventilator.
