Gasthof Zum Forst

The breakfast was just what we needed for our Bodensee tour. It’s a buffet with all kinds of tasty food, homemade apple juice and marmalade. They bring a huge pot of coffee once you’ve picked your place, and since it was Easter, we also got a colored Easter egg. You can eat inside or out, and we chose the terrace again, with its view of the mountains. We spent one night here while cycling around Bodensee. The rooms were cozy, clean and had everything we needed, with a nice view from almost every corner of the guesthouse. The people were kind and looked after us so well, it felt like being a family guest. We liked the terrace enough to skip dinner in the village center. The price felt very good for what we got. We ordered a large portion of Käsespätzle and a tasty Landzüngle bier, recommended by the best German Greek waiter, while the sun set over the plantation. They let us take dessert back to our room. I totally recommend the cherry vanilla ice cream, it’s a huge portion and tastes so good.
