For the very low Sunday-to-Tuesday rate we got, the place was amazing. The room was roomy and comfortable, everything was clean, and the bathroom was spacious. There was a kitchen, though it only had a large pot, so a small pan would have made cooking easier. The beds were okay. Check-in was quick and easy, with clear instructions by email. There's no receptionist in person, just phone contact. We were very satisfied.

Parking and good Wi-Fi were a plus, and the hotel was well placed for walking around the city and reaching the main sights. We didn't need to contact reception because the instructions and amenities were clear. The room was cozy and very clean, and we felt comfortable the whole time. Everything was great, and thank you for a lovely stay. The kitchen utensils were missing a frying pan, which would be useful to have. That was a small issue alongside an otherwise top-notch experience.

Breakfast is served at another hotel, so getting there meant starting the morning with a warm-up over the ramparts and stairs. The hotel runs without a reception and is fully automated. At first I was given a different room from the one I had paid for, but the room change was handled well and worked out perfectly. Despite that initial hassle, I came away with a very good impression.

The partner hotel's breakfast was genuinely very good. For the price, this place was fine and worked well enough for a single night.

You need to have your reservation code ready for the self check-in. The rooms were clean and had basic appliances, and breakfast can be added for an extra charge. For the price, though, this isn't the best place to stay in Kronach.
