The food and service were amazing, and the views were stunning. We loved hiking into Mittenwald, such a beautiful Bavarian town. Afterward, the train ride back was quick, and they picked us up at the station within a minute.

Das Kranzbach looks like a nice hotel, but I was surprised when it charged my credit card the full cost of my stay on the very day I booked, three months before arrival. There was no warning during booking that the entire amount would be charged immediately. I expected a standard pre-authorization or payment when I arrived, as many hotels do. When I tried calling to get my money back, there was no answer several times, which seemed surprising for a five-star hotel. They eventually replied to my emails, but I had to call and email more than nine times just to get my money back. Unbelievable. The hotel looks good online, but don't provide your credit card details.

We went at the end of November and found a winter wonderland. It was our first visit to Germany and our first spa resort, and we loved the whole stay. The room, spa, lounging spaces, food, service, and activities were all perfect. Our dinner servers, Nick, Vasil, and Michelle, were kind, fun, and professional. The whole experience felt relaxing and indulgent. We highly recommend the place and will certainly return!

A phenomenal hotel, with amazing food, service, and rooms. The only thing they could improve is adding air conditioning to the top rooms, something they are planning to do next year.
