Villa Duli

The first thing to know is that we left a day early. We’d hoped for a relaxing stay, but that didn’t happen. Our family of four, with children aged 8 and 9, had booked the “Dunja” apartment on the first floor of “Villa Duli” from December 24 to 27, 2018, though we’d planned to stay through December 28. We won’t be back. The apartment was cold, and all of us caught colds in turn, first the children, then my wife, then me. The internet only worked in the kitchen, and the basement sauna area felt cramped and oppressive. There were piles of dog poop on the lawn. Inside, the place was dirty when we arrived, and much of the furniture felt like leftover odds and ends had been dumped there. Some things were broken, despite the brochure saying it was “Renovated in 2012.” The online photos looked much better than reality, and it seemed the landlord didn’t care about the broken items. The payment had gone wrong during booking. We had transferred the money to the agency (e-domizil) and got confirmation, but no notice that it had been refunded, so we thought we’d paid. The landlord hadn’t received the money. At about 10:40 p.m. on December 24, he came upstairs while we and the children were in bed, knocked loudly, and woke us. He was agitated and said he would call the police because we hadn’t paid. He shouted loudly in his apartment, which startled and frightened the children. Things carried on like this on December 25. We managed to sort it out on December 26, when the landlord received his money. “Villa Duli” sounds luxurious, but the place didn’t live up to that name. One star already feels too generous. There’s more I could say. If you’re up for an adventure, go ahead, but we aren’t.

I really have nothing negative to say. The landlord was very friendly and helpful, and the apartment was absolutely clean. I’d gladly stay again!

The landlords are really friendly, the apartments are very clean, and everything you need is provided.

A wonderful guesthouse with a lovely host. The price covers an entire floor, including a fully equipped kitchen. SUPER!
