The hotel sits beside a lovely forest, and there's an interesting castle nearby that has a honey museum. My room was okay, though minimally decorated, but the welcome on arrival felt cold and unfriendly. Breakfast was basic but fine. Be aware that the restaurant shuts at 7:30 p.m.; arrive later and nobody will serve you.

The staff at both reception and the restaurant were really nice and professional, and the hotel was comfortable in pleasant surroundings. We only stayed one night, traveling with our baby and dog, and everything went great. Recommended.

Breakfast had delicious bread, and you could also have yogurt with cereal. I liked the feel of both the restaurant and the building. The hotel is in a quiet part of Illertissen, close to the A7, and the staff were polite and nice. It's about a seven-minute walk to the nearest restaurants in town. My only issue was the bed, as I found the mattress a little too firm.

We stayed one night as a family in a room under the roof, and it got very warm. The setting was nice, with a cosy restaurant that felt traditionally German, and the service was very good. It's also conveniently close to the autobahn.

At the wedding, they hadn't decorated at all, and the slippery leaves on the outside stairs hadn't been cleared, so it didn't feel safe going into the hotel. The radio was playing during the wedding dinner, too. In the morning, when the bride asked for a hard-boiled egg, the blond female waitress said no. Then the blond receptionist couldn't separate the room and breakfast bills or print them. A disgrace. We won't come back or recommend this place.
