The room was great, and the place was very clean with a nice atmosphere. Mine had a king bed, mini-fridge, wardrobe, dresser, nightstands, flat screen TV, and a table with chairs, plus a second small room with three twin beds. There were lots of windows that open, which I liked. I had a huge private bathroom right across the hallway, though I had to be careful not to lock myself out. I'm not sure whether it gets shared with the neighboring suite when that's booked. The gardens and playground were very nice, and it's quiet, close to the train station and parks, and a short walk from historic downtown. The bus stop is right outside, and there's a large parking lot that I think is for guests. There's a whiskey distillery selling drinks around a shared courtyard. The cafe serves ice cream but no food, so be sure to arrive while the ice cream shop is open. I'm not sure what people do on Mondays when everything is closed. It would be perfect with a lunch or dinner menu and a way to text staff, which would be easier with a translator app. It was great value, and the staff were very friendly. Check-in and the language barrier were a bit nerve-racking. I got lucky that a waitress who spoke English was working when I arrived. I also wish they'd given me the Wi-Fi password at check-in. Check which room you book if stairs are difficult for you. Bring a power bar or adapter too. I think one outlet was broken, so I was glad I had mine.

The people running this little B&B were very lovely, and the setting was peaceful. The eiscafé, whisky distillery, and brewery make for a unique experience. If kirschbier, or cherry beer, is in season, ask for it. I highly recommend it. I didn't get out to explore during my two days, but Bad Belzig is a moderately sized village, with restaurants and grocery stores just minutes away. My room had no TV or radio, though there was Wi-Fi. The larger rooms do have TVs.

A random search around #Berlin brought me to this super #cozy ice-cream shop, probably the most #Germany thing ever. Thanks to the unlimited public transport for 9 Euro! At #eiscafe they make their own #beer, and this one was amazing, tasted like #mead 😋 No wonder they call it the "special"! – at Eiscafé zur Postmeile

Breakfast wasn't available, unfortunately, but that's fine since there's the lakeside café in town, which I'd also highly recommend. The welcome was friendly, and the pretty room and bathroom were very clean. It's simple, but perfectly adequate.

The guesthouse lists nearby breakfast options on Booking.com, but they don't seem to be available anymore. I ended up eating breakfast at the train station. If the listing had been accurate, I would have brought a kettle, mug, and coffee. They really should at least have a coffee machine so guests can get some caffeine in the morning. I booked a room with a desk through Booking.com and got one with a dining table instead, with no power outlet nearby. That made working on my laptop very inconvenient.
