Landhotel Klempau

We stayed twice and would come back. The rooms are big, and getting here by car is easy. Breakfast options are somewhat limited, though there are lots of kinds of tea and coffee. The village looks nice too, but we didn't get a chance to explore it.

The studio was huge, with three bedrooms, and worked really well for our family of 2 adults and 2 children. It was clean and cosy, with a functional, nice bathroom and a hot shower with good pressure. The five-star rating is for the service. We arrived almost 2 hours later than expected, after reception had closed at 6pm. The receptionist had tried to call, but I'd mistyped my number in the online reservation. She'd also written with all the details, which I saw later. Since I hadn't replied because we were still on the road, she waited for us to arrive at 7.30pm, got us checked in, and made sure everything was okay before finally calling it a night. Thank you very much for doing that!

The small village is charming, and the staff are welcoming and helpful. We travelled with two children and got a beautiful studio apartment with a full kitchen, living room, two spacious bedrooms, and a small terrace. This is a really nice country hotel, a short drive outside the city. Go here if you're travelling to Lübeck by car 💯

The Italian restaurant at Landhotel Klempau is quite good, and I'd recommend trying it. The receptionist was especially helpful and even walked us to our room. The hotel and its surroundings are beautiful, in a very calm, nice area outside Lübeck, about 15 minutes away by car. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. We'd ordered a family room and got upgraded to a full flat with a kitchen, large living room, two full bedrooms with flat screens, and a private terrace.
