Hotel Garni Martina

The beds were comfortable and not saggy at all, and breakfast was delicious. This privately run guesthouse has a lovely feel-good atmosphere, and you really feel welcome. There are thoughtful touches like drinks service and shared use of a refrigerator in the hallway. If you skip daily housekeeping, a bottle of water and fruit are brought to your door each morning. Such a great idea.

It takes about 5-8 minutes to walk to the town center, which is perfectly acceptable. The atmosphere is lovely, and they make you feel very welcome. You don't feel like just one guest among many, as you might in a large hotel.

We stayed from August 3rd to August 14th, 2025, as a group of four in the Garden and Lighthouse Suite. The garden was wonderful, and the family's exceptional hospitality made the vacation special. We felt comfortable from the start, with lovingly prepared breakfast in the conservatory, little surprise bags at our door, and helpful excursion tips. We look forward to coming back.

Mr. Uthoff gave us such a warm, friendly welcome that our stay at the Friesenhuus felt special. We spent four days here on our first short break and felt very comfortable in this charming little family-run hotel, furnished with great attention to detail. The breakfast buffet was delicious too. We've already planned another stay at this special place.
