The area’s great for cycling, with plenty of well-marked bike paths. We just had our second short break at Villa 1909 and felt comfortable again. Leonie and Nico van Staa are such friendly hosts. They give guests a warm welcome and serve a delicious breakfast. The little kitchen is handy too, with a coffee machine, kettle, and refrigerator. We’ll definitely stay at Villa 1909 again.

Breakfast was delicious, and the room was welcoming, quiet, and comfortable. It was lovingly decorated, and we had a wonderful, cozy time here. We highly recommend it!

My room was small but comfortably furnished, and I felt right at home. I spent a week there, and everything was clean and tidy. There’s a small kitchen where you can sit and eat, with a fully automatic coffee machine, cutlery, and glasses. An Edeka is about 500 meters away, and a bit farther on there are Aldi and Combi supermarkets. The North Sea is also close, and depending on the weather, there are lots of options for cycling and walking.

We came to Villa 1909 hoping for a few quiet days, and it was just right. The room is lovely, with a huge bathroom that has a rain shower and modern fittings despite the nostalgic feel. The hosts are helpful but don’t hover. Even a rainy morning feels nice with the delicious breakfast. We explored the area with walks along the dikes, visits to old terp villages and moated castles, and a day trip to Norderney. Highly recommended!
