A lovely dinner catered by the restaurant on our last evening was a real highlight. The food was amazing, and the staff were friendly with great service. We were a German-American family group of about 30, there for a family reunion. Gut Hungenbach is a great event venue, with several buildings that have hotel rooms, patios, and event spaces. The location has been newly renovated, though some areas were still under construction, and the mix of historic and modern works beautifully. The renovation has great attention to detail, and the hotel rooms were extremely comfortable and well designed. It's out in the countryside, about 45 minutes from Cologne, and a wonderful place for a getaway. Thanks for the great time!

Breakfasts were plentiful and excellent, and the hired evening caterers were outstanding. At our main event, a DJ helped us party until the wee hours. We spent three fabulous days at Gut Hungenbach for a family gathering of about forty adults and children from Germany and the US. The team looked after us from morning to late night, and we all stayed in the stylish, comfortable rooms. We highly recommend booking Gut Hungenbach for events and letting their team organize everything.

Cologne is only a 30 minutes drive away, even though you're in the middle of the 'Bergischen Land', with beautiful surroundings. The historic location makes this place beautiful. The main part of the hotel was totally restaurated and re-opened a couple of months ago. The rooms and restaurants are good places to stay. Give it a try and enjoy the services of Marcel and his staff.

The area is quiet, and the buildings are pretty and traditional. The food is good and the staff are nice. But the old rooms have no isolation, so visiting and staying in winter or cold weather is challenging.

The best local hotel, though breakfast could be better.
