Aparthotel Messe Laatzen

Paying 1000€ for just 8 nights felt like robbery. The WiFi was horrible, the pillows were thin as air, the little bedroom desks were bruised, and there was no body soap in the bathroom. Truly the worst aparthotel I’ve ever stayed in.

The place itself was stylish, very clean, and in top condition. But the other guests made the stay difficult. It seems convenient for construction workers from Eastern Europe, and vans and trailers take up the parking spaces. Outside my window, a Polish BMW's burglar alarm went off every 10 minutes, so I barely slept.

UPDATE: They eventually contacted me through the Google Review maintenance system. I appreciate the reply, so I’ve added two stars. Maybe I’ll add more after a future visit. They said cancellation requests are processed automatically and that if I’d called directly, they could have made me a credit note. They also offered a 20% discount on my next stay and asked me to fill in the reason for my rating. Their message began, “Dear sir Haebom Lee,” and ended “Yours sincerely.” My pregnant wife was in her 38th week when we booked an apartment for two nights on Oct. 4. That morning, just as we were about to leave, she suddenly had acute pain, and I had to take her to the hospital. We cancelled the reservation and used the link to request a cancellation fee exemption, explaining what had happened and promising to visit another time. They refused, saying the rules didn’t allow an exemption, and charged the full price. They didn’t respond to what I’d written. I understand they might not be able to refund everything, but a partial refund would have been better. If they’d shown even a single line of concern for my wife, honestly, I wouldn’t have left a one-star review. I think that’s inappropriate for someone running an accommodation business.

Check-in was easy, and the place is modern, clean, and great. But we discovered in the morning that there were no towels in our room, probably just a mistake. We could only call the contact number after 9:00, which didn’t work for us.
