Gasthaus zur Post (Hotel Garni)

We had a starter and main course, and the wait was only around 50 minutes. The food was delicious, and the menu has plenty more we'd like to try. There are cozy spots all over the place, and the fireplace really stands out. We were a group of eight, and the hosts were so friendly they even gave us a little tour. The historic rooms have been renovated beautifully while keeping their original charm. The beer garden looks great too, so I'm already looking forward to summer. We'd absolutely recommend the inn, and would give it another star if we could!

Even so, it was already at a high standard. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening at the Hotel zur Post in Ladbergen and will be back.

The food is excellent, the prices are good for what you get, and the cozy dining room has very welcoming, attentive owners. It feels like I've found my old restaurant home again. There were some opening snags: the menu isn't on the website yet, though Google Maps has it, and drinks and food took quite a while when the place was full. Those things can be sorted out. The place has a lot of care in its decor and restoration, and the cuisine has already won us over. We visited on the first day under new management at the Restaurant zur Post in Ladbergen. The welcoming, committed team, led by an experienced chef, is bringing new life to a traditional business in a historic setting after years of stagnation. Things aren't all perfect from day one, of course, but they're heading in the right direction. Wishing them continued success!
