The breakfast café downstairs, the bakery, looked abandoned. There were cobwebs everywhere and a yellowed mattress lying around. At the “second” café, where my wife and I went for breakfast the next day, the plates weren't clean either. We only started eating after asking three times for clean ones, and the same woman was annoyed and unwilling to help. We hadn't been told about this café at all. When we arrived, the owner just handed us the key and briefly showed us the room, with no other information. She already seemed annoyed and rude. Later we noticed the room floor was dirty and the mattress badly worn. When I raised the room's condition, she almost lost it and threatened to call the police unless I paid the full 90 euros. I paid in the end, but got no receipt. They'll never see us again! I've never met anyone so rude, unreasonable, and unwilling to accept criticism. Even 50 euros for one night is too much here.

Mrs. and Mr. Schrötter were friendly and easy to talk to, and our little daughter was with us at Pension Schrötter a few weeks ago. The apartment was lovely and clean, and I can definitely recommend the guesthouse to families with a baby. We were happy with breakfast too. They asked us the day before what we wanted, and said to let them know if we wanted anything else or had a particular request. We'll be back! Sincerely, Julia & Steven

The rooms were bright and spacious, and we felt truly welcome with the very nice Schrötter family. Breakfast in their café was just a short walk away. It was plentiful and delicious, with something for everyone, including homemade baked goods. Anything that ran out or that we specifically wanted was brought over right away. We were very impressed with the guesthouse and will definitely return.

We were left without anywhere to sleep overnight, and they helped us in the middle of the night. Thank you so much! The hotel was pleasant, clean, and well maintained, and we felt very comfortable.

The breakfast was so extensive and plentiful that finishing it was impossible. The apartment was beautiful, clean, and comfortable, and even the trash was taken out daily. The host family were very friendly. It’s a great place to stay, central but quiet, and a handy starting point for hikes and other day trips nearby. I’ll book here again whenever I get the chance. Highly recommended!
