The bus stop is just a three-minute walk away, and the heated pool at the lido is close by. With the Bodensee Card, we could swim there for free every day, with a view of Lake Constance. The apartment was bright, cozy, and clean, with a large balcony and everything we needed. It was also very quiet. Mrs. Kallina was a warm and helpful host. We didn’t have a car, so she even drove us to the station, and she shared useful tips about things to do nearby. On rainy days, we took the bus straight to the thermal baths in Meersburg or to Überlingen, and there’s also a bus to Salem. We had a wonderful holiday at the Sonnenstube guesthouse and would love to return. Thank you!

The garden is a lovely spot to sit, and the apartments are cozy. It’s a bit of a walk into the village, but the lakeside location is wonderfully peaceful. I’ve stayed here several times and have always enjoyed it. Mrs. Kallina is incredibly friendly and helpful.

I’ve been coming back regularly since 2005, usually at least once a year, to Apartment 5 at the Sonnenstube guesthouse. It was newly opened and barrier-free when I first stayed, and I’ve always felt comfortable there. The apartment works very well for wheelchair users: there’s a ramp at the entrance, wide doorways, level access to the terrace and garden, a height-adjustable care bed, a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a kitchen worktop you can use from a wheelchair. Karin and her family are welcoming and attentive to everyone. Karin does her best to meet guests’ wishes, offers holiday tips, knows about activities that suit wheelchair users, and leaves fresh local fruit each day. The apartment is always clean when I arrive, and anything broken or missing gets dealt with straight away. It’s a quiet spot close to the beach. Most paths in Langenargen are easy to manage in a wheelchair and have hardly any inclines. The shops have few steps, and the boat dock makes boarding easy. Local restaurants are convenient, and people are very helpful if you run into a problem. Thank you, Karin, for all your work over the years. I always enjoy coming back.

We stayed one night about three weeks ago, and we won’t be back. Charging money for a place this run-down is disgraceful. It was dirty, the furniture was a mismatched jumble, and the TV screen was cracked. There were cobwebs behind the curtains and in the corners. The cleaner seemed either unmotivated or blind. As a holiday rental, the place needs a complete renovation.
