Hotel Kolb

The spa is in the neighboring building, which worked out just fine for us. We spent several hours there relaxing and felt very comfortable. During our four days at Kolb Classic before Christmas, the rooms were clean and tidy, and we didn't lack for anything. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We'd be happy to come back.

We've stayed at Hotel Kolb several times, and it was wonderful again. The food was excellent, so a big thank you to the chefs. Everyone, from reception and the restaurant to room service, was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We highly recommend the hotel.

We booked on a whim and were very glad we did. The hotel was lovely, the staff were great, and we even got an upgrade, thank you! Dinner and breakfast were good, and the spa area was wonderfully relaxing. We also enjoyed visiting Café Leis. We'd love to return.

The restaurant and breakfast staff, though very few of them spoke German, were especially friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Breakfast was plentiful, with everything needed to start the day, and the four-course dinner was upscale, tasty, and fairly priced. The rooms were nicely furnished, the mattresses were great, and I especially liked the roomy separate dressing room and wardrobe. Still, I expected an upscale hotel to ask at checkout whether everything had been satisfactory. I wasn't given a chance to share any criticism, so I'm putting it here instead. The bathroom had cobwebs and dirty corners, with live spiders, and its floor wasn't mopped during our stay. The liquid soap was empty when we arrived and stayed that way for all three days. The fans in the windowless shower and toilet area didn't work. In the women's shower in the sauna area, one shower head was broken, the other couldn't be adjusted for height, and the soap was empty there too. The 90° sauna door was misaligned and wouldn't close properly, letting cold air in. The whole wellness area felt dated. The small pool's counter-current system apparently used to work, but doesn't anymore, so you can only swim four strokes one way and then back. At breakfast, nobody told us we could order egg dishes, either verbally or with a sign. We only happened to notice this at the next table on our last day. You can stay here, but you don't have to.
