I had mushroom cream soup to start, then deer as my main, and both were really good. This is my usual stop when I travel between my hometown and Munich. They always have local, seasonal dishes, and the atmosphere is lovely. The staff are friendly every time too. I’ll be back!

The free parking was a real plus. My room was okay, and the staff were very friendly and tidy. But breakfast was a letdown: the eggs seemed undercooked every day, there were hardly any vegetables during my four-day stay, and the salmon was spoiled twice. A fridge in the room would have been useful too.

We came back a couple of weeks ago and had the seasonal asparagus, which tasted great. The owner still remembered us, and she’s such a delightful person. Four years earlier, when they were just starting out, they catered our wedding. The buffet was amazing, and all our guests loved it. They made a very special moment in my life into a wonderful experience.

The room itself was very nice, but the service barely met a basic level of satisfaction. The reception isn't staffed from Saturday afternoon until midday Monday. Breakfast was poor in both quantity and choice, and there was no room cleaning on Sunday. Breakfast wasn't available Monday either. Never again.

It's a small hotel, but it was perfect for us. The place was very clean, and both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were delicious. We did miss having air conditioning in the bedroom.
