The Circus Hotel

Getting to the hotel was a bit distressing after my flight was badly delayed. I arrived exhausted to find nobody at reception, with a note asking guests to call a number if staff weren't there. International visitors may not have a German SIM or be able to make domestic calls. Luckily, someone nearby made the call for me and it was sorted out. I'd completed online check-in after they emailed to encourage it, but still had to do the whole process in person, so I wasn't sure what the online step was for. My room faced the courtyard, which was quiet, though the view isn't much to speak of. I paid extra for that because the hotel is on a lively street. The hotel has a boutique, design-focused feel, and you can see the care in the details even though the room is compact. Some design choices weren't comfortable: the shower door leaves an awkward gap for a bath mat, and plenty of water gets out; the table wobbled so badly I couldn't comfortably put anything on it. The tea and chocolate in the room, though, were beautifully packaged and very tasty. Staff were kind and helpful. Getting around was easy, with a tram stop and train station a short walk away. There are several steps at the entrance, so it isn't fully barrier-free.

The breakfast was delicious, and the location was really good. I had a lovely time at the Circus Hotel. The beds were comfortable, and the place felt cozy and clean. I'd definitely recommend it :)

It was easy to unwind after a day exploring Berlin, since the hotel is close to the main attractions but still quiet. The rooftop bar and lounge are a nice spot for a drink while looking out over the city. Breakfast had plenty of fresh variety, and the staff were always cheerful and ready to help. The rooms were spacious, modern, and very comfortable, with colorful decor and thoughtful design details that made the stay feel special.

The main road-facing room could get noisy at night, with the metro, buses, ambulances, and police sometimes audible. Aside from that, my stay was very good. The location is excellent, the receptionists were kind and helpful, and I had no issues with cleanliness or security.
