Breakfast was great, with plenty of choice, and we really enjoyed our second evening meal. The first dinner was a letdown: we were asked to join a coach party's BBQ, but didn't want to, and ended up with overcooked beef in gravy and chips. The staff were friendly and attentive, the dining area was beautiful, and the garden was pretty. The pool was clean, though a bit chilly. There were quite a few things in the room that needed attention. The towels and dressing gowns were thin, worn and frayed, the pillowcases didn't fit, and both the laminate floor and bed creaked. The bathroom extractor fan was dirty and blocked, the hairdryer and its plug were filthy, and there was mould in the shower corners. We got a small bottle of water on the first day but not the second, and there were no tissues. We've stayed at several wellness hotels in the black forest. We enjoyed our stay and the welcome, but probably wouldn't return.

The breakfast was nice, and the pool looked lovely, though the water was cool. There are e-bikes for rent in the area. Our room didn't have a microwave, and they sorted out the room we had mistakenly booked without any trouble.

The restaurant looks out over a garden that you can stroll around, and there's a salad bar too. I've been eating here for over 20 years, and the food is always homemade using local ingredients. The Pfefferlinge with homemade noodles is a great choice.

Everyone was so kind, and the room was very clean. We had a good breakfast, and both the swimming pool and sauna were very good. The restaurant was so good too. I recommend this hotel to everyone!
