The coffee and cakes both taste good, and the view looks straight onto the river Elbe. The service was very kind and attentive. Dogs and small children are welcome, though I don't think there's room for a stroller. Since the café is in the historic part of town, there aren't parking spaces right in front. You can park near the castle, about a 10-minute walk away.

The outdoor terrace has a lovely view, and the breakfast menu was great. The staff are warm and friendly. We tried the vegetarian and sweet breakfast options, as well as Lauenburger torte, which was out of this world. I couldn't even wait to take a photo! 😂 I'd definitely go back if I'm in Lauenburg again.

What a lovely surprise. The Café-Restaurant is simply furnished, with the Elbe flowing past. You can taste how much the owner loves cooking, whether it's lentil soup or meatloaf with brussel sprouts. They even have a real Italian coffee machine. Highly recommended 😊

The interior is so welcoming, and I’d buy every decor item if I had somewhere to put it. The tortes and breakfast menu are great too. One of our favorite weekend brunch spots, always love coming here.

It’s worth booking ahead, especially in summer. Breakfast is great, and later in the afternoon they have homemade cakes and good coffee. The service is excellent, with a nice view over the Elbe river.
