We felt right at home thanks to the owners' warm hospitality. The jetties are safe and easy to reach, and the sanitary facilities were clean and well looked after. You can get refreshments, too, and sit on the terrace with a cool drink while watching the boats and activity on the water. The Skippertreff Marina in Lauenburg (Schleswig-Holstein) sits on the Elbe River and makes a great base for water sports and day trips. The views of the river and the picturesque old town of Lauenburg are fantastic. It combines professional service with a welcoming, family-run feel. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling on the water in the Schleswig-Holstein region or looking for a relaxing place by the river. This is based on my own experience and opinion.

We parked in the RV area for an acceptable €19. From there, there was a view of the marina. The atmosphere was nice, the service friendly, and the food good. My wife ordered the Würzfleisch (spiced meat). It tasted good, but seemed to be about 70% pure fat, so it was too fatty for us. We mentioned three times that there was more fat than meat, but weren't offered a small discount or a complimentary shot. A shame.
