Hotel Frisia

A perfect spot for hotel guests, and for anyone stuck waiting a long time at Hauptbahnhof Leer. The bar staff are really nice. Danke Herr Wiemker!

The staff are friendly, the rooms are roomy and clean, and breakfast is very good. Two things bothered me, though. If guests park in the hotel lot, they have to pay a daily charge, which doesn’t seem right when the hotel is already expensive. Also, for a 4-star hotel, I’d expect air conditioning, but there isn’t any.

The buffet is fresh and has plenty of choice, and the staff were very friendly. The rooms are clean and cosy, and the hotel is really close to the center.

Breakfast is excellent, including the option of splendid Ostfresian tea. The bar is small and intimate, but remarkably friendly. There are no evening meals, though plenty of good restaurants are an easy walk away. The Greek and Mexican places next door will deliver to the bar, so you can eat there. It’s a comfortable, well-appointed hotel, privately owned and right next to the Bahnhof. The staff are very friendly and can’t do enough for you. Rooms are large and well furnished, and the bathrooms have both baths and showers. The car park is very small, but there’s discounted parking in the multi-story parkhouse across the road. Internet access is free, though variable. Best value hotel in the area.
