Hotel Drei Morgen

The room itself was good, but the rest was a horrendous experience. Reception was often unattended, so the breakfast staff told me to leave the key on the desk when I checked out. I did that, tucking it toward the back. After I'd left, the owner called and accused me of taking the key. I suspect he hadn't looked carefully enough. He got extremely aggressive and unprofessional, and also randomly accused me of leaving the lights on. As a seasoned business traveller, I've never had anything like this happen. Outrageous!

This is a typical small hotel outside the city center. My room was spacious, and the bathroom with shower was fine. Breakfast included a few hot options, like scrambled eggs, and on the mornings I was there they served either sausages or mushrooms. The bed felt rather hard, though maybe that's down to my size.

I've returned for a second stay, and the friendly owner is a big reason why. I wish more hotels were like this. The rooms are comfortable and fairly quiet, and the breakfast is exceptional. The interior looks dated, but it's well maintained. I can only recommend it.

I moved to Germany 1 week ago and needed somewhere to stay while waiting for my apartment, so I spent 2 nights here. It's a perfect, cosy hotel, and extremely clean. Breakfast was beautiful. The same owners also run the Shamrock Irish Pub next door.
