The staff were the part of our stay we appreciated most. When our car unexpectedly broke down, they stepped in to help even though it was outside their responsibilities. They were kind, polite, and understanding when we were stressed, and we're very grateful. Hotel Zur alten Stadtkellerei Leipzig was quiet, with clean, comfortable rooms. It made for a relaxing stay, and the genuine hospitality really stood out.

The service was fine and the location is interesting, though the rooms could use renovation and an upgrade. Update on 2025-01-16: Someone tried to have this review legally removed from Google Maps. I sent in my booking confirmation and proof of payment to show that I really stayed here. If it was the owner, they might be better off putting that time, energy, and money into improving the quality and service instead of trying to remove feedback they don't like.

It was pleasantly quiet at night despite being well connected by public transport. The tram stop is about a five-minute walk away, and the city is ten minutes from there. Water, tea, and coffee are free during the day. The concept is unusual, and the staff are friendly.

The place was impeccable, and breakfast was very good for an extra 9€. Getting downtown takes a little longer: it's about a 25-minute walk, or you can walk 5-7 minutes to the tram (Strassenbahn) and take it in.
