IntercityHotel Leipzig

After a long day of work, I came back to find my room hadn't been cleaned and was in an unacceptable state. I asked reception for help, but only one person was there. They couldn't leave the desk and didn't have full access to fresh sheets, so I ended up sleeping in a dirty bed. The hotel has good facilities and a good location, but basic service like this should be provided. Management may want to cut costs, but skipping essentials has cost them a regular customer who travels for work every week. I won't return and don't recommend it. EDIT: In their reply, management said every guest is told at check-in about the "green" policy of not cleaning rooms. That's not true. They also said there's printed information in the room. That part is true, but it's on a 5x5 cm area of a single laminated sheet, almost hidden on the desk. Their response also suggests that customer feedback means nothing to them, which doesn't surprise me after the service I received. Other hotels manage a similar green approach much better. No need to say more.

Check-in was smooth and welcoming thanks to a friendly, professional receptionist. The hotel is clean and well maintained, and being right in the city center makes it easy to explore Leipzig on foot. I'd definitely stay again.

The room was spacious and the service very friendly, though I did find an old, used lolly on the floor. The beds are definitely on the softer side. I also thought the price was a little high compared with other hotels in Leipzig. You're right by the train station and a big street, so mornings can be noisy. I really appreciated that checkout isn't until 12. It's a good hotel in the center of Leipzig.

The rooms are really small, and there's no gym. Breakfast, though, has plenty of variety and is good quality. The location is great, right next to the main station.
