TOP VCH Hotel Michaelis Leipzig

I had a very pleasant stay and would definitely return. The rooms are huge, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, and the staff are always polite and helpful. The food was great, and the conference space was very nice too. The hotel is also close to the market, shops, and restaurants.

For 79 Euro, this was really good value. I was driving through Leipzig and booked Hotel Michaelis on a whim, which turned out to be a great choice. My room was large and clean, with a view of towers and church spires. Breakfast was included and nice, and they also left a small bottle of wine. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was the best I’ve ever had at a hotel, and the location is very good. The rooms are spacious and comfortable too. Still, my stay had two big drawbacks. It was terribly hot last week, and with no A/C I had to choose between trying to sleep in the heat or putting up with the awful tram noise from the nearby street. The WLAN connection was also poor. They provide an Ethernet cable, but that only works for laptops, not phones. I’d still recommend the hotel, though there’s definitely room to improve.

It’s in a quiet area, about a 10-minute walk from the City Hall. The staff are kind, and breakfast is varied, including the chance to make your own waffles. The rooms aren’t very big, but they’re comfortable, modern, and functional. A very good hotel.
