The rooftop bar was really nice, and the two gentlemen running it were great. They were happy to put up with my occasional attempts at speaking the little German I know, even though their English was excellent. I arrived a bit early, and reception were super lovely, as I’ve found at other Motel-One locations too. All the staff were great, and the room cleaners were smiling and polite when I saw them in the morning. PS: While you’re at reception, see if you can spot Les Dawson on the wall :-)

The stay was a pleasure, especially thanks to Indro, who works at the bar and helps the breakfast team. He was incredibly attentive and friendly. The hotel itself is beautiful and modern, like other places in this chain, and my room was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, and the terrace at the bar has a lovely view. Check-in wasn’t a good experience, but I shared my feedback with Jennifer at checkout. She listened carefully and took it positively. I’d recommend the hotel and would come back.

A great option for a solo business trip, with excellent value and everything I wanted. The rooftop bar is a lovely place to watch sunrise or sunset, and the rooms are very comfortable. It’s an easy walk from the train station, and you can reach plenty of key places from here, including the Max-Planck institutes, the university, and the old town.

Whenever I’m in Leipzig, Germany, I love staying at this hotel. The rooftop bar is exceptional and makes fantastic cocktails. You’ve got to try the Cheesecake Martini!
