Pension Preußenstrasse Leipzig

The room felt badly worn, from the tired mattresses to the limescale in the shower, and the breakfast wasn't worth what it cost. Staff were unfriendly and disrespectful when I raised things. At check-in, I was rudely led to the room while I had my phone to my ear, then found myself locked out when I didn't have the phone. I'd arranged things in advance. Later, after my second call to ask whether anything had been left at the guesthouse, I was told I was bombarding them with calls. Disappointing from arrival to departure. Never again!!!!

The location is quiet but still very close to the town center, and the price was excellent for what we got. We were there for the gymnastics festival and found this to be a small, pleasant guesthouse. The service was good and the rooms did the job perfectly well. We'd happily stay again. B. Braun

The koi pond is lovely, and the quiet, convenient location is the guesthouse's strongest point. We could reach the city center easily with a short walk or by public transport. We were seven couples there for a weekend. The rooms were fine despite a few small flaws. On the first morning service got off to a slow start because they were short-staffed, but every issue was dealt with promptly and they quickly found a solution each time.

We paid €182 for two nights, which was far too much for what we got. The room had a musty smell and the sink drain was badly clogged. Beds were okay, and breakfast was passable, but the jam had mold on it. The guesthouse feels dated: the entrance area was dusty, and the drinks fridge in the foyer was empty 😪. There wasn't anywhere nearby to buy a drink either.
