Suite Hotel Leipzig

Breakfast was really good, and I liked the hotel. The problem was the sofa bed. It was so hard, and I could feel the iron parts along its sides whenever I got out of bed. That's why I gave it three stars.

We had a spacious Suite that fit our group of three adults comfortably. The rooms and the rest of the hotel were clean and comfortable, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. We had a relaxing dinner at the restaurant when we arrived. It's convenient and the food is decent, though nothing special. Monday is Schnitzel day, with several versions to choose from. We also picked up snacks and breakfast rolls at the Penny market, which helped us save on meals. Before paying 9 Euros a day for the garage, check whether there’s space to park upstairs. We'd definitely stay again.

We picked Suite Hotel Leipzig for a conference at UFZ, and the campus was a handy 10-minute walk away. Our room was clean and had a nice balcony, and there's secure parking under the hotel for an extra charge. A bus stops right outside and can take you downtown, though we only learned that the next day. When we asked the front desk about getting around by train or bus, they weren't very helpful. The free WIFI was another frustration, as the signal in our room was rarely strong enough to stay online for long. The hotel restaurant never seemed to open for dinner. We didn't try breakfast because it cost extra. There weren't many places to eat nearby apart from Burger King, but there's a PENNY grocery store on the first floor.

Breakfast costs 17 Eur, but I didn't think it was worth that price, so you could skip it. The hotel is a little outside the city center near an industrial area. Its rooms are suites set up like small studio apartments, with a kitchenette and utensils, a living room, plus a separate bedroom and bathroom. The decor looks somewhat dated and the amenities aren't at a modern hotel's level, but it's fine for business or a stay of just 1-2 nights. There’s both underground and open parking.
