Hotel Schloss Leitheim

The room was beautiful, with lovely bedding and a comfortable mattress, and breakfast was delicious with good quality ingredients. The hot chocolate was especially good. The outdoor pool had a gorgeous view, even if the water felt a little cold. Still, swimming outside in winter was a treat. The wellness area was good for a 4-star hotel, though a cold plunge bath or whirlpool would have made it even better. One small drawback: the blanket felt tiny for one person, and when my friend asked for a larger one, there wasn't one available. It didn't bother me much, and we had a really wonderful couple of nights.

The main issue was an extra charge for services that we hadn't been told about or agreed to. We showed the hotel proof when we raised it, but our concern was dismissed, and they haven't responded to our follow-up messages. My partner and I stayed for one night in July, and several problems made the experience far from satisfactory. With so little transparency and such poor customer service, we can't recommend the hotel.

The food was simple but tasted great and was beautifully presented, so give it a try. The hotel has lovely views and makes its own wine from its own Vineyards. Our room was spacious, with lots of wood, and the bed was large and very comfortable. We'd definitely come back.

Breakfast and especially dinner were really good, and the outdoor pool has a lovely feel, almost like being in Tuscany. The SPA is modern and nice, though fairly small. From the front, the hotel has a perfect view. We stayed in a junior suite and were a bit disappointed with the room, mainly because it looked out onto a construction site. That was last year, so it might have been fixed by now.
