We booked late and could still check in late, which was great. The house is beautiful and sits in a lovely location, and the room price felt just right. They offer breakfast too, though we hadn't taken it. Everyone was friendly.

They weren't polite. A bomb call in the city meant we couldn't get in, but they still charged my credit card. Never again.

The owners speaking both German and Dutch was a real plus, and the name of this guesthouse suits it perfectly. In the mornings there were generous amounts of bread rolls and toppings before we headed out to explore the area. For my second “long” holiday in Germany, I'll definitely visit again. I stayed around February 2019 and liked the place a lot. The hostess was great, and it was a very nice place to sleep. Her husband was very relaxed too, and when he was awake we joined him for dinner. The shared bathroom facilities were fine for me. I imagine it could feel a bit tight with five family members each taking half-hour showers, but I never ran into a second or third person during the week we stayed. We weren't there in peak season, and I could use the facilities when arriving and leaving.

The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable, so it works fine for a night or two. The decor looks like it dates from the 1970s.
