We're South Africans visiting, and found the location stunning and the service lovely. It was quiet and welcoming, just right for relaxing. The bar and restaurant have a lively feel, and the refurbished beer garden is excellent. A great stop for exploring the region and unwinding.

The room was cold in the evening, the heating didn't work, and although we were told it would be fixed, it never was. I woke up cold. The laminated rules and requests everywhere gave the place a youth hostel feel, and there was noisy construction in the breakfast area with no effort to close a door and cut the noise. The interior looks very dated, and some of the ugliest things could at least be removed. Asking for a housekeeping tip is very unusual in Germany. There's plenty more that could be improved, I could write pages.

Jill was so welcoming and happy to help with anything, and really made our two-night stay in a family room. The hotel was beautiful, with stunning views and a lovely location. We enjoyed breakfast too, and I'd happily stay again if we return to this beautiful area.

The area has plenty of hiking, walking, cycling, and exploration trails, so it's easy to get close to nature. The bier garden and back lawn are nice places to meet people or enjoy some quiet. Inside, the rooms are clean, nicely furnished, and have pleasant views; the authentic decor feels comfortable and welcoming. The kitchen serves top-quality food for every palate. Jill and Goof gave us such a hospitable welcome. We're already looking forward to coming back, hopefully for long enough to enjoy some of the local festivities and events.

I stopped here during a month-long bike ride and found a great place with very friendly owners. There's a nice garage for storing a bicycle, or four. You can have dinner and breakfast downstairs, and they speak English, Dutch, French, and German.
