Hotel Hochfirst

The children loved all the play options: a small indoor playroom, a roomy lounge full of games for family evenings, and garden activities like a playground, trampoline, and swings. There's free parking behind the hotel, though I think it fits only 7-8 cars. If it's full, there's a large, safe public lot opposite. The restaurant is lovely too, with a cozy beergarden. Our family, including two young children, had a wonderful stay. We had a family smart room with enough space, a comfortable bed, spotless renovated interiors, a modern bathroom, and a view of the nearby forest. Everyone working there was polite, friendly, and very courteous. Breakfast had lots of tasty choices and great coffee, and each room had its own designated table, so it was always clear where to sit. The setting is quiet and close to nature, a great starting point for hiking, cycling, or trips around the area. Lake Titisee is an easy 10-minute drive away, and Mount Feldberg is close too. For an easy walk, Titiseeblick is a lovely scenic spot, about 15 minutes from the hotel along Hochfirstweg and Turmweg. I'd suggest renting a car for exploring the area. For stays of two nights or more, the hotel is among the selected Hochschwarzwald places offering entry to the Badeparadies swimming pools at Titisee at a special price with the digital Black Forest Card. The card also works on public transport and gives lots of other discounts or free entry to attractions around the Black Forest. A great pick for families and active travelers touring the Black Forest with kids. Definitely recommended!

Julia and Tom went out of their way to make our holiday wonderful. The service was exceptional, and the hotel felt warm, welcoming, and very family friendly. Our stay was perfect. I'd strongly recommend this lovely place, especially for anyone traveling with children.

The rooms are huge and have balconies, breakfast is amazing, and dinner is delicious with very reasonable prices. The hotel has chalet vibes among beautiful mountains and pine trees, and the family-run feel makes it even more special. We loved the hospitality and the quality of the service. There's a sweet play area for babies and a lounge with board games, a TV, and more. I believe in quality over quantity, and everything here felt top-notch. I'm totally in love with this place, and we're planning to visit every year!

We stayed with the kids in one of the wooden houses and had an amazing time. It's a lovely family-run hotel, and the staff are kind and helpful.
